Meet the New Secretary of the PTC - ME!!

Can you believe it? I know. A totally new phase of life for me. My kid goes to school. He is the happiest little kindergartener that you ever will see. Not that he is the best behaved thing...that is just not the case AT ALL!! We have had some yellow light behaviors. We have had many short talks about the role of the student and the role that he will play in the classroom.

My next little jaunt into the life of a mother of a kindergartener is to get involved with the PTC. The purpose of the PTC is to raise money for fun things at school. Raising money is hard to do. Raising money in this economy is harder to do. My kid attends the school that is the recipient of the canned food drives. Yeah, we need lots of small fundraisers. I have been joking that this will be the year of the dollar fundraiser. We just ask for one dollar at a time.

We have found a fundraiser that we are excited about. It touches the hearts of us as mothers and plays on the traditions of families everywhere. We will be selling holiday ornaments with the name of the school on them and it has a window to put a picture of your kid in the back. Cool, huh?

The best part is that this company will do the logo creation for you. I know, right? They make it simple. And they are fast with their responses too. I sent them the school mascot and they sent back a mock up of what the ornament will look like. If you are looking for an elementary school fundraiser, check them out at:

Then you too can have your school participate in a custom Christmas ornament for fundraising.

Beggs Family

Such a wonderful family to go out and brave the heat with me and while wearing black. Such troopers! And look at this property! This family grew up here on this land. I wish that I could do all of my shoots on such awesome locations. Claudia got straw bales, decorative scarecrows, and pumpkins to round out the theme. I love it! And how cute is this little guy with the blue eyes and the heart shaped face?!?

The Wilcox Family

The Wilcox family was so awesome to work with. Who shows up a half hour early for a photo shoot? Luckily, I arrived early to check out the park. I hope that they love their photos as much as I do. It was such an honor to have worked for them. They are a beautiful family!

Wyatt's first day of Preschool

It was a big day at the Keenan house! Wyatt has been begging to go to preschool. We all have been so excited and the only crying was from the twins when they realized that they could not stay for the whole morning. During dinner we asked Wyatt if he knew what to do if he had to use the restroom at school. His reply was, "Yeah, grab my penis." And I am sure that would work!

Welcome Little Timberwolf

There is really nothing better than being afforded the opportunity to photograph one that is barely 24 hours old. Well, smelling the head of a newborn is tops too. I'm crazy for that smell. The older siblings at home are eager for this little one and this momma to return to the nest. Best of luck to all of the G's.

The Bylard Family

It is hard to believe how much time has past since I last photographed this family. I feel like I grew up with them. This was a very special shoot as it was a gift from John and Cheryl to the newlyweds. And isn't young love great?

Girls Getaway

I spent a weekend in Half Moon Bay and San Francisco with my best bud. The one who knows waaaay too many of my secrets. (Everyone has one of those, right?) We drank a lot of wine, bought live crab from the pier, roasted marshmellows over the stove, went to a fancy restaurant (the kind that serves the fish with the head attached...ew!), danced with a belly dancer, made a wish upon a wishing tree, and so much more. It was the weekend that we decided to embrace wearng hats. Thanks, friend, for making incredible memories with me!
